Is itjust me or has the standard of football in The Championship increased drastically in the las 10 years?

I think it is much more competitive than 10 years ago. I remember someone would run away with it and someone would get cut adrift from the rest. This hasn't happened the last few years. The top teams struggle more and no-one gets cut adrift. Also anyone can beat anyone. Its become a more exciting league.
