Can a frozen magnet attract paperclips just as good as a normal magnet?

My brother and I are bickering on this question: Can a frozen magnet attract paperclips just as good as a normal magnet? We are fighting for weeks. That day, he asked me that question, and I answered to him "yes". He said that I was wrong and it is suppose to be "no". If he knows the answer, why did he even bother to ask me. We are really fighting in these days. I said that he just wanted to make trouble. And then, he was as mad as a mad dog that started barking and kicked me. Please verify that he or me is wrong...
