What is the deal with people and taxes.?

I am disgruntled with the tax system and everything about it in general. It is tax season and everyone is in the bull rush to get their return. Why don't people see that a return isn't a bonus. People this is hard earned money that could have been in your pocket all year long. All of you people that are looking for your return so you can survive are complete moron. By the way I am one of those morons this year so I am no different. If we only knew how much the government makes each year in interest on extra money we pay in it would make a lot of people really sick. Anyways the point I am trying to get to is like many people that have filed this year my return is being delayed. I have never had a return delayed in my life. If we are late paying our taxes they garnish our wages, penalize, pretty much make our lives miserable. When they owe us money they run us through the ringer. This is our money people! I thought this was a government run by the people for the people. I hope there is a lot of other people out there that are like me. I call the irs and all they can do is give me about ten different answers. If I was like that at my job I would get fired. They know how roughly how many people are going to file taxes this year and they still screw it up. This is there job! They have at least six months to prepare for it. My question is what are we supposed to do? Why aren't they responsible to hold up their end?
