Is Green Lantern really that bad? and should i see it in 3D or 2D?

i've been reading revews and they been mostly negative. but coming from fans of the comic book series or anyone else, is it really that bad or is it another one of those movies where the critics are being too hard on the film. and if it's not bad, should i see it in 3D or 2D cuz i heard it was post-converted but it's the best post-converted 3D movie. is the 3D good or is it best to p. someone plz help with these ?'s. thanks.
